Abstract submission

Abstract submission deadline: 13 March 2017

For the meeting, we want to bring together scientists from different disciplines to discuss seismic methods in the Earth surface sciences. We strive to include seismologists, glaciologists, geomorphologists, hydrologists and other Earth surface scientists and aim for a well-mixed group of participants at the event. The facilities and the format of the conference limit the number of participants to about 80.

If you want to participate in the conference, please send a short (maximum 100 words) description of the work that you want to present and an equally short (maximum 100 words) reasoning of why you want to participate. In the unlikely case that there are more applicants than places, the short abstract and motivation will be used to make decisions about participants.

After the abstract submission deadline, the science committee will finalize the programme. You will receive an invitation to register and, at this point, you will also have the opportunity to update and expand your abstract.

We welcome the active participation of all participants of the meeting. If you have suggestions for topics for the break-out discussion groups or if you are interested in leading such a group, please let us know when submitting your short abstract and motivation.

There is limited support available for early career scientists (ECSs). An ECS is an undergraduate or postgraduate (masters/PhD) student or a scientist who has received his or her highest degree (BSc, MSc, or PhD) within the past seven years. Please indicate the need for support on your application.

Our current cost estimates are given below. Prices include accommodation, meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee and snacks), and the conference programme, excluding the field trip. The fee may reduce in the case that we obtain additional sponsoring, but it will not increase.

Double room (full/ECS): €520/€410

Single room (full/ECS): €560/€450
