Early Career Scientist support

The EGU has generously provided funds to support the participation of early career scientists at the Galileo conference.

We will be awarding up to 10 grants of €500, to cover registration and accommodation costs, for applicants whose research is closely aligned to the conference themes. Priority will also be given to PhD students over ECS (< 7 years after PhD degree, see: https://www.egu.eu/ecs/) in case of equal evaluations.

The application, in a single pdf file, should contain:

  • Letter of motivation (1 page)
  • Short CV (1 page) and list of relevant publications (max. 10)
  • Copy of the submitted abstract (oral or poster)

Applications for EGU grants should be submitted by 30th May 2018 to the organizing committee. Applicants will be informed about the results before the registration deadline (27 June 2018). The grant recipients will be able to claim their expenses up to €500 after the conference.
