PhD/Post-doc support

Support to participate in the meeting can be requested to:

  • SIMP (Società Italiana di Mineralogia e Petrologia), offers 3 grants of €500 and are open to SIMP fellows. Contact Nadia Malaspina for additional information,  http://www.socminpet.it/SIMP/index.php/simp/attivita
  • Students/ECS members of the Deutsche Mineralogische Gesellschaft can apply directly to DMG for support. Information about the application procedure and the selection criteria can be found in https://www.dmg-home.org/servicepublikationen/reisebeihilfe/
  • EGU sponsors 8 grants of €500. Priority will be given to PhD students over ECS (< 5 years after PhD degree) in case of equal evaluations. The application, in a single pdf file, should contain:
    •   Letter of motivation (1 page)
    •   Short CV (1 page) and list of relevant publications (max. 10)
    •   Copy of the submitted abstract (oral or poster)

    • Applications for EGU grants should be submitted by 4 March 2018 to the organizing committee. Applicants will be informed about the results before the registration deadline (23 March 2018). The grant recipients will be able to claim the expenses up to €500 after the conference.
