General information
Although we do block bookings for different hotels, conference participants are requested to book their accommodation on their own. Please follow the instructions given below for the individual hotels. The deadline for accommodation booking is 15 June 2017. Thereafter no accommodation can be guaranteed. Early booking is advisable, because the conference falls in the tourist season.
Hotels in Furnas
Terra Nostra Garden Hotel****
The conference hotel. Prices a bit upmarket but definitely worth it. All rooms have air conditioning, telephone, TV, mini-bar and hair dryer Free WIFI available throughout the entire hotel. Free unlimited access to Terra Nostra Garden for our conference guests. Facilities of the hotel include a thermal outdoor pool, an indoor pool, a reading and gaming room, a restaurant with a park view, a snack and cocktail bar, and free parking. The following special rates per night including breakfast apply for the conference guests:

Please note hat the prices above are per room and not per person. If you want to share a double room, please state it under "Add notes and special requests" and indicate a preferred room mate. In this case you pay half the double room fee. The hotel has agreed that bills can be split.
For the booking perform the following steps:
- Go to the website of the hotel.
- For the booking window on the left of the browser window, insert your arrival date and the number of nights as well as the promotion code SM2017.
- The booking website comes up. Select the number of rooms, the number of adults per room, and the nights you want to stay. Furthermore, select the room type on the right side under the heading "Scientific Meeting" with the "Select" button.
- The "Select" button changes to "Book Now" at your selection. Click it. The payment site will appear.
- Fill in your credit card details and your name as well as your arrival time.
- If you want to share a double room, please state that under "Add notes and special requests".
- Finish the booking by accepting the terms and conditions (tick the relevant box).
- Please note that in case of no-show or cancellation less than 35 days before arrival cancellation, fees will be charged.
- In case of problems with the webpage please contact the reservation department of the hotel mentioning the hotel (Terra Nostra Garden) and the promotion code (SM2017).

Furnas Boutique Hotel****
Spa hotel with a touch of luxury in the valley of Furnas. Distance to Terra Nostra Garden Hotel around 500m. Rooms have air conditioning, a multi-line phone, hair dryers, in-room safe, television, free internet access, bathrobes, a bath tub and a minibar. The following special rates per night apply for the conference guests:

Hotel do Mar
The hotel is situated directly on the seaside in the picturesque city of Povocäo. En-suite double or single rooms, pool in the courtyard. Please note that the hotel is about a 15 minutes car ride (a taxi ride is about €15) from the conference venue and is thus more suitable for attendees which want to rent a car or smaller groups of guests.
